QUEBEC TRADITIONAL MUSIC
CONCERT-CONFERENCE
An overview of Quebec traditional music and its origins. A unique opportunity to discover many of Quebec’s regions along with their particular folkloric styles and accents through their musicians’ repertoires like those of Jos Bouchard, Jean Carignan, Isidore Soucy, Louis « Pitou » Boudreault and many others…The conference will feature a screen projection and various musical selections will also be played by the speaker.
«Finely documented and we feel his whole passion when he starts talking about his subject…He could go on and on and his enthralled audience would spontaneously continue to listen to him talk and perform even longer. A great get-together where we learned more about Joseph Allard, Willie Ringuette, Isidore Soucy, Jos Bouchard, Louis «Pitou» Boudreault, Jean Carignan ( a real must), Coleman, Morrison, Kimmel and Skinner…»
